Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award

I’ve been nominated for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award by A Day in the Life of a Teenager (thank you!).

I’ve never done one of these before, so pardon if something goes awry!

The Rules:

  • Thank the blogger that nominated you and post a link to their site.
  • Put the award logo on your site.
  • Answer the questions.
  • Nominate seven blogs.

The Questions:

In one word, how would you like your readers to describe your blog?

Fun! I don’t aim to be (too) critical or intricate with what I post, blogging is just a fun thing for me to do with my time, and I hope that’s conveyed to my readers!

Which is your most favorite among your blog posts? Why?

Ooh, tough one. I think my favorite thing to do is hauls, but my favorite post I’ve made? Probably the one I did for Bout of Books 13, and all the posts that followed it. That was such a fun readathon and I’m so excited to do another like it. Writing those, as short as they were, was a blast!

What/who inspires most of your blog posts?

My life and the things I do and read in it! I work as a moderator for a website and I freelance on the side, and I just finished up school, so everything having to do with the things I encounter inspire me to make the posts I make! So far it’s been mostly book- and haul-related posts, but I have more to come once I get a little higher off the ground!

What do you inspire to accomplish this year?

Move and get fit! ;A; I need to move back to my home state for health reasons and get fit for the same reasons. I used to be so healthy in high school and college just ruined all of that. TIME TO FIX IT!

What do you aspire to learn this year?

More about myself as a person and limitations I allow myself. I’m a very shy person, and while I’ve broken through that shell by miles since graduating high school, I want to push that even further and see what I’m really capable of.

What is your most favorite book? Why?

Another hard question. I have many favorite books, and my top favorite is constantly changing, but at the moment I’m going to have to say The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kodi Keplinger (Goodreads || Book Depository). It’s my current favorite because I absolutely adore the main character and the story she creates. I realize there are issues with it, but I myself can’t get enough of it and I applaud Keplinger for creating such a story at the age she did. I need to go watch the movieeeeee.

What’s the most courageous thing you have ever done?

Honestly? Stand up to the people around me. I can’t give a specific time frame of when this has happened, but it’s happened a few times. For a long time, I’ve been a very meek person with a massive temper on the inside, and my social anxiety has often turned me into a smoldering doormat. I’ve been much, much better about it in the past couple of years, but each time I do it, I consider it a very courageous thing to do on my part. I’m sorted as a Gryffindor more often than not on sorting tests, but I wonder if that even qualifies.

If you could be a superhero, what would be your superpower?

Can’t I just be a witch? Hmm, one superpower. Maybe just a higher IQ? I’m not talking out-of-this-world levels, just smarter than the average genius. Or maybe the ability to learn things really quickly. Yeah, I think I’ll go with that one. I want to learn things super fast so I can do all the things.

Who is your female role model?

J.K. Rowling. She created one of the most complex, amazing, incredible worlds I have ever seen and I grew up with my nose firmly inserted into her books. I want to be able to create those kinds of worlds one day, and I hope I’m able to.

My Nominations:

In no particular order,

And that’s the end of that!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Nova
