That’s right, it’s time once again for a haul from my library’s semi-annual book sale! This one isn’t as big as the previous ones, simply because I was forcing myself to hold back (by consistently thinking of my humongous TBR pile), but I still managed to find a few that I had been meaning to pick up anyway and couldn’t resist when they were about a dollar each.
Here’s what I found!
The first book I picked up is The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, a book I’ve been meaning to get for a very long time now. I’m glad I waited, though, because this copy is in near perfect condition and I only paid $1 for it.
The next two are books I hadn’t thought about purchasing previously, honestly, but was willing to pay the dollar to get since I am pretty interested in reading them, just not paying full price. They are If I stay by Gayle Forman (I’ll have to find the sequel somewhere now, they didn’t have it at the sale) and Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler. The latter actually has a better rating on Goodreads than I had been expecting, so now my expectations are higher. Here’s hoping it lives up.
Finally, we have a book I’ve been meaning to buy since I first heard about it in my Comp I class my freshman year of college, Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, and a book I’m mildly interested in getting into when I feel like I need a PPL-esque something to fall into, and that is L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. I have seen the sequels for that one in previous library sales, I’ve just never picked them up. If I see them again, I’ll be sure to nab them now that I have the first one in my possession.
And that’s all for this short book haul. Thanks for reading!
