So, I was going to say that yesterday wasn’t much of a productive day (as you see in my progress update part thingy, at the end of this post), but then, once the clock struck 1 am, I had an overwhelming urge to pick up a book and just read. And then I clocked that sucker out in about 4 hours. I literally just finished it, didn’t even sleep.
But, since it’s technically the next day, I’ll include it in tomorrow’s post.
Anyway, today’s challenge is to choose a topic and then post five favorites. I wanted to pick something where I’d have a lot of variety, so instead of picking something where my favorites would be obvious to those who have been around a while, I picked something a little more untouched for me, in terms of blogging about it. And I’m being literal.
My topic is five favorites I never really talk about.
Dark Souls by Paula Morris is first up. I actually could really just put Paula Morris in general, because I end up loving all of her stuff that I read.
The Need quartet by Carrie Jones. I wasn’t big on this series for the first two books, but I absolutely loved the last two. I hate giving up on series, so I would have read them no matter what, but they definitely made up for the meh that was the first two books.
The Hollow trilogy by Jessica Verday. Another I wasn’t fully involved in from the start, but was ridiculously attached to by the time I finished.
The Madison Avery trilogy by Kim Harrison. It gets a lot of mixed reviews, from what I’ve seen, but I really enjoyed it.
The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May and June by Robin Benway. I loved this story and I thought it was super cute, and I never hear anything about it. Or about Robin Benway, for that matter. I really enjoy both.
And that’s my five!
Now, onto progress.
Yesterday’s progress:
The Glass Castle: 133 pages read; completed.
Total: 310/1500 pages read; 2 books completed.
Not great, but I think I made up for it once the “new day” started. And by that, I mean the clock ticked over into midnight. But, you’ll see that progress tomorrow.
Until then!
Once Dead, Twice Shy was one of my favourites when I read it!! Love that book!! I still have to read the last one though.

Yes, someone who has read it! I have trouble finding people who have even heard of it.

Omg same. I thought the cover was cute &, come one, grim reapers? I’m all in. I really liked the first 2 books!! It’s been a while though.
You’re no longer alone in your enjoyment! High fives!! 😀😀
