Well, that’s a mouthful.
I know what you’re probably thinking, buzzing lip balm? It probably just tingles a little, right?
Nope, not a little. This stuff is weird, let me tell you. And I bought it on accident, thinking it was just another nifty-packaged chapstick to add to my ridiculously large collection that I use to fuel my addiction. When I actually bothered to check out what the packaging said, I was more than a little dubious to what it actually did.
The packaging is cool though, right? I love it a lot, even if it’s more of a gag product than something you can actually use a lot.
According to their website, Doctor Lip Bang’s products are 100% natural, and it’s something in them that causes what is actually a really, really strong buzzing sensation. I have no idea how they do it (is it the cinnamon?), but when you put this stuff on, it seriously feels like you’ve placed some sort of hand buzzer against your mouth. It’s kind of both horrifying and strangely pleasant. You also need to give it a few minutes to really get going, but once it does, it takes a long while to wear off. It’s pretty cool!
I’ve heard the Atomic Cherry version has some tint to it, but I had bought the Bubble Trouble version, which is bubblegum, and I didn’t notice any sort of tint to my lips when I had put it on. I did, however, find it to be very true to its scent. I’m a little in love with it, actually, and I wish it had been a normal chapstick.
Overall, not something I’d bother buying again since this single tube will last me a while, as I’m not going to be using it very often, but I think it would be really cool to have and share with your friends. I’ll be taking it with me when I go to Nekocon to trick my friends with, for sure.
