Blogtober Day 24 // READ LIKE THE WIND

The rest of this week is going to be like a ghost readathon.

Why are there no readathons for the week of Halloween?

(I mean, there are some, but they started way before the actual week of Halloween happened. I’m too late.)

You read right, I’m going to be spending the rest of this week reading as much as I possibly can, because I have officially fallen behind on my reading goal. Do you know how long I was ahead on my goal? Me either, but it was a long time! Even sadder, so far I only have two books as “read” in the month of October.

Two.

I am furious with myself. Yeah, it’s been a hard month, but two books? I can do way better. I’m making myself finish at least two of the books on my currently-reading shelf by the end of the week, along with maybe starting and finishing The Call, because it’s short and it sounds awesome.

Plus, you know. Book review fodder, because I swear I’m going to get those up again. Maybe not a whole lot of them, since NaNoWriMo is going to be happening, but there will be some at some point.

Actually … I think I might just throw a bunch up to be scheduled, and that way I have less to worry about that whole month.

Sound like a possible good plan? We’ll see how that goes.

But, anyway, I’m going to go back to that reading thing so I can get the book done (The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer) and get to bed for work.
