I manage to do it!
Still not entirely sure how, but I managed to read the 13 books I needed to complete my reading goal. Sure, a lot of them were novellas, but you have to try whee you can when you’ve made a mess for yourself and need a lot to get through, you do what you can.
My currently-reading shelf is also now a mess thanks to my scramble … but we won’t talk about that.
Here’s what I read in December:
Literary Starbucks by by Nora Anderson Katz, Wilson Isaac Josephson, & Jill Madeline Poskanzer // ★★★★☆
Twilight & Life and Death by Stephenie Meyer // ★★★☆☆
Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris // ★★★☆☆
Perfect by Ellen Hopkins // ★★★★☆
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare // ★★★☆☆
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo // ★★★★☆ // Review
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness // ★★★★★
Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs // ★★★★☆
My Misadventures as a Teenage Rock Star // ★★☆☆☆
The Demon in the Wind by Leigh Bardugo // ★★★★☆
The Witch of Duva by Leigh Bardugo // ★★★★☆
The Too-Clever Fox by Leigh Bardugo // ★★★☆☆
Little Knife by Leigh Bardugo // ★★★★☆
And that was my wrap-up for the month!
I learned my lesson, no more bumping up the goal. I’ve set my new one to 75 and unless I pass it by some amount, I’m not bumping it up.
And then, if I do bump it up, it won’t be by a whole lot.
Onto a new year of reading!
