Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 underrated books, and I am so excited for this one. I love a lot of hyped books, but there are some out there that just aren’t as hyped that I adored. These are five of those books:

I know there are very mixed feelings from those who HAVE read it, but Chime has some really beautiful and unique aspects, both in writing and in characterization. It’s a bit messy, and kind of confusing, but I really enjoyed reading Chime and I don’t really hear anything about it, good or bad opinion.

Robin Benway in general, but my favorite is The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May and June. Her works are funny, cute, and easy to get through, and I hear absolutely nothing about her.

In the same stem as Robin Benway is Janette Rallison, whom I love love love. Her My Fair Godmother series (trilogy?) is a definite favorite for the same reason Benway’s books are. Funny, quick reads, and great writing.

I feel like Tamora Pierce and her books have been around for ages, but I never hear any hype for her works? Is her stuff just a cult thing? Is it the fact most people read her when they’re younger? I don’t get it, but I never hear excitement for her works when they’re coming out. I love them, though. Especially The Immortals quartet.

Another mixed-review series, and I’ve only read the first book so far (because I need to reread the first one to read the second, and I’ve got a TBR out the roof atm), but I absolutely adore Paula Morris’ works. Especially Ruined. If you like Paranormal YA set in New Orleans, I highly, highly suggest you give this a good go. Highly.
Until next week!
