Top 5 Wednesday | Books to (Maybe) Get You Out of a Reading Slump

Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 books to (maybe) get you out of a reading slump.

Not guaranteed to work! Sometimes you just have to keep trying until something clicks.

The Call by Peader O’Guilin. I didn’t give it five stars, but if it’s your kind of deal then I can imagine it will be a super quick read to get through.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins. Pretty easy to get through, I felt, and might leave you wanting to finish the series.

My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison, which I think I’ve recommended for pretty much everything at this point. It’s not so much magic as it is just plain funny.

On the contemporary side, you could try I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, which I read through fast simply because I needed to see what happened.

If you haven’t already read it, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a perfect candidate for getting out of a reading slump. And, if you already have, you should try it anyway! Sometimes rereading a book helps me get out of my slump.

Thanks for reading!
