Little bit more of a laid-back post today due to the holiday (Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! And a belated happy Passover for those who celebrate that! I’m not familiar with any other holidays that might have happened recently, so happy anything else you might celebrate!), plus it’s now halfway through the month and Camp NaNoWriMo is going strong.
Well, kind of. I’m behind, but only because I’m struggling on a scene. I don’t know if I want to rewrite it again or trash it completely, but I don’t like where it is right now. I might just skip over it for now if it ends up taking me too much time.
Anyway. While writing, I usually don’t listen to music that has words in it because I have a habit of writing the words I’m listening to instead of the ones I’m supposed to be writing, but during my breaks and while I’m trying to brainstorm, I do listen to music that has lyrics. It seems to help me get the juices flowing much better than classical or instrumental does, which works better when I’m actually writing.
So, without further ado, here are some of my down-time jams, which somewhat relate to the story I’m writing and somewhat don’t:
Stay – ZEDD & Alessia Cara
Closer – The Chainsmokers & Halsey
Death Valley – Fall Out Boy
Good News – Ocean Park Standoff
And that’s about it for the moment. I cycle some in and some out, but these have been the few I’ve been playing on repeat at least recently.
Thanks for reading!
