Oh, you know I’m a sucker for covers. This is all up my alley.
Hell yes.
Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 sci-fi and fantasy covers.
Once again, I’m cheating and doing five for each. I can’t choose, okay? It’s too hard.
Sci-Fi
5
The Martian by Andy Weir, because the cover so accurately represents the story.
4
Fox Forever by Mary E. Pearson, because I think the design is just plain cool.
3
The Shade of the Moon by Susan Beth Pfeffer. To be honest, all the covers in this series are so cool, but this newest one is my favorite.
2
Across the Universe by Beth Revis. The first to covers in this series are gorgeous. Then, a cover changed happened.
We don’t talk about the third book’s cover.

I’m just going to put all three of the Starbound Trilogy in here because they’re effin’ gorgeous. The third one is my favorite but, wow, I love these so much.
Fantasy
5
All three of the covers in this series are pretty cool, since they’re in the same style, but the first one, Jackaby, is my favorite because Jackaby is my favorite character.
4
Uprooted by Naomi Novik looks cool as-is, but the physical copy is even prettier because it’s shiny.
3
Tons of people love the cover of Six of Crows, and I have to agree. The wing bit in particular is awesome.
2
I think The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is one of those books that has beautiful covers across the board, regardless of format or region. I like this one in particular, but they’re all super pretty.

And, finally, The Raven King has a beautiful cover. All of them have really pleasing covers, but I am so happy with this one. It’s so freakin’ pretty.
And that’s all for this week. Excuse me while I go stare at these in their physical forms.
Thanks for reading!
I love your list! I also love the covers for Starbound, Jackaby and The Raven Cycle! 😍😍

The colors on Martian are really cool! I considered reading it, but then the movie came out…(I know, BAD BOOKWORM.) I kinda wished I read more Susan Beth Pfeffer! I read her first book, well most of it at least, before it was drenched in the waterpark of a ski resort. Yeah um long story. So I obviously couldn’t finish it and they didn’t have it at the library so at the point I was too frustrated to even to anything about it except be sad lol. It’s actually SATISFYING how perfect the layout of your blog is, seriously, I love the theme!

Thank you so much! I still haven’t watched the movie for The Martian (it’s on the list! I just … kind of suck at watching movies and TV shows), but the book is so good that I have to recommend reading the book anyway! It got *drenched at a waterpark*, oh boy. RIP that book. They actually don’t carry them at my library either, which I was surprised about? Well, they carry the third book, but that seems kind of pointless to me when you need to read the first two … well, first. But, yes, thank you so much!! 🙂
