The Reading Slump Trials

I know, I know. I haven’t been doing anything. It’s just that kind of a slump, you know? I’ll pull out of it sooner or later, but I always hit one of these at some point, and usually more than once.

However, I have … nine books on my CR shelf as of this moment I’m writing this. Nine. Why?

Some are books I want to start. Some I’m already reading. One I’m slowly working my way through with a friend. Two are audiobooks (which I listen to while I work). And some are just plain boring the hell out of me. How the heck am I going to get through them?

Well, here’s where the “trials” part of this post title comes in. I’m going to attempt what I tend to do when I’m in a slump, but on a larger scale.

Usually, I read a chapter of each book until I either reach an interesting point in one book or I finish the book or books. Usually, this is done with a maximum of three books.

STRAP IN LOVES, WE’RE GOING NINE.

If this kills me, bury me in my books on a boat and burn me at sea.

Will this work? I honestly don’t have an idea. It tends to work when I only have three books, but … yeah. Don’t know if nine will cut it.

Stay tuned to find out!

Back into the abyss of slumps I go.
