Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 Middle Grade books.
Originally it was Children’s books, but I actually went with Middle Grade because I’m far more familiar with the genre than I am Children’s.
5 – Warriors by Erin Hunter
Pretty much an “infamous” series, but I was also one of those kids absolutely obsessed with it for a time, so I have to include it. I never did finish this series, though. I kind of want to.
4 – The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
I haven’t read the second one yet (and now there’s a third), but I really enjoyed this first book! I think kids would love it, and if you like Disney, then you might, too.
3 – Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
I distinctly remember reading this one while in school, and I want to reread them really badly. I’ve read all but the last one, but I think the series is done now?
2 – His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
I’m not sure if this one really counts as Middle Grade, but I had assumed it was for the longest time. Lyra is only 12, so I would assume that’d make it Middle Grade and not Young Adult. Can’t wait for the new one!
1 – The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani
Love this series to death. I’ve done reviews on the series, too.
That’s all for this week.
Thanks for reading!
