Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 series books from before you joined *insert online book community*.
I could have done “from before I joined WordPress”, but this blog is only two years old, so that would be a lot of options. I wanted to make this a little harder, so I went with Goodreads, which I’ve been using since 2011. (Six YEARS? Where did the time go?)
I’ll refrain from using Harry Potter. 😉
5 – Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Yeah, read this back in high school, and I graduated in 2010, so this is definitely before I found Goodreads.
4 – Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
I’m pretty sure I read all three of the first books (there’s now a fourth, but I haven’t read it yet) before I found Goodreads. I know I at least read the first one.
3 – Ruined by Paula Morris
I need to reread this one very badly! And then also read the sequel. I always absolutely adore Morris’ writing style and stories, and she’s never talked about. Maybe the year of 2018 will be the year of rereading things.
2 – Sucks to Be Me: The All-True Confessions of Mina Hamilton, Teen Vampire (maybe) by Kimberly Pauley
Read this forever ago, honestly, but I still remember it. It was super funny.
1 – The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I actually vividly remember buying this book for the first time, solely because one of the bookstore employees had recommended it via a little card on the shelf. I was not disappointed in the least, and waiting for the books that followed this one was full of suffering.
And that’s my top 5 for this week!
Thanks for reading!
i think “twilight” will be on a lot of lists this time! 🙂

Do NOT read the fourth book in the Life As We Knew It series! The first book was awesome, the second & third ok, while the fourth practically ruined the whole series for me.

Nooooo D: Welp, at least I have been warned. Thank you! I liked the second one the best myself, but the third one I didn’t like much at all. I already own it, so I’ll probably still give it a go so I can say I did, but MAN. Maybe I’ll just sell it and pretend it doesn’t exist. 😀

The series came to enough of a conclusion in the third. The fourth will make you furious, plus all the characters from the earlier novels are ignored to feature the horrible younger brother. Skip it!!!

I went to Goodreads to see what people were saying and whew, you’re right, plenty of reasons not to read it. So many one star reviews!
