Top 5 Wednesday | Fave Bromances

Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 bromances.

This one was easy, because I have FAR more BrOTPs than I do OTPs. I love me a good friendship.

5 – Simon & Jace (The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare)

Now, I know they’re not technically a real bromance by book standards, but some of my favorite interactions throughout the whole series were between Simon and Jace specifically. Honestly, this might have been where my strong dislike for Clary came from, because I loved their rapport so much that I loathed it whenever Clary popped up and the fun times had to stop. They had some great conversations!

4 – Jon & Sam (A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin)

I miss these guys and their fun in the Night’s Watch together.

3 – Fred & George & Lee (Harry Potter)

How could I not? Fred and George are my favorite duo, and Lee was just a necessity.

2 – Will & Jem (The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare)

Oh, where could I even begin with these two. They have what I believe to be the best example of Parabatai in the entire series. (Mind you, I haven’t read Lady Midnight & co. yet.) Their chemistry is just beyond that of a romance, they’re absolutely perfect for each other, and their interactions only prove this.

1 – Gansey & his Gangsey (The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater)

Ah, my boys. This specifically applies to Ronan and Gansey, as they are the two I feel have the best relationship together within the group as a whole, but I couldn’t just leave Adam and Noah by the wayside, because they four together are just a great BrOTP in themselves, and I miss them quite a lot.

And that’s my top 5 for the week! Thanks for reading 🙂

  1. Yes, the Gangsey! 🙂 I also think there’s something particularly special about Ronan and Gansey, out of all of them.

And Jon and Sam–yes! I have yet to read the GOT books, but I do love those two in the show.

  2. Sam and Jon are one of my favourites from the series as well. I also really enjoy Tyrion and Varys. The conversations they have are so blunt and fascinating to me. Thanks for this post! I meant to do the T5W yesterday, but I totally forgot. I think I’ll post it anyway, just not as a T5W, haha. Keep up the great work! 😀
