Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by GingerReadsLainey and hosted Sam from Thoughts On Tomes over on Goodreads. This week’s topic is top 5 books featuring witches.
Ooh, I like how this month is starting out! I’m going to once again refrain from putting Harry Potter on this one, but just know it’s my real #1. 😉
(Also — Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. That one, too.)
5 – The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris
I’ll admit it took me a couple books to really warm to Sookie’s world, but now that I’m … 8? books in, I’m way more attached than I like to admit.
4 – The Isle of the Lost by Melissa de la Cruz
Technically, it has a witch in it!
3 – Uprooted by Naomi Novik
I mean, it has a wizard, so his counterpart would be a witch, right?
2 – His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
I don’t remember if there are witches in the first one, but they definitely come up at some point.
1 – Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
I loooove this series. It’s so funny and quirky, and definitely has its fair share of witches and other paranormal creatures.
Great list! I’ve seen The Descendant Isles listed elsewhere, so I’ll have to check it out! Uprooted has been on my TBR for a while, so I just need to get around to reading it 🙂

Thank you!! The Descendants is probably my favorite out of those two, but that’s likely only because I REALLY like Disney. 😀 Uprooted is really good, too!
