Well, this is going to be a short post!
I most certainly did not win this year — in fact, I only wrote about 12,000 words! Definitely not even close to what I could have done, but, honestly? I’m okay with this.
Why?
Because I’ve written over 100,000 words this year, and while that might have spanned a year rather than a month, that’s more I’ve ever written in a year alone. Twice as much as a month of NaNo! So, the fact I did horribly on NaNoWriMo this year? Yeah, not really bothering me. Because I think my year’s gone really well writing-wise otherwise, and I’m going to accept that.
Plus, I really don’t do well under pressure, as I’ve already known but ignored. I’ll likely try again next year, but I’d rather write a lot throughout the year and fail NaNoWriMo than not churn out many words, period.
