At the beginning of 2017, I made these goals. Now, with 2018 just over the horizon, it’s time to see just how well I did on them.
Let’s start with my bookish goals…
♥ Read at least 75 books in the new year.
Not completed! I lowered it to 70 and as of writing this I’m at 69 with my 70th book 3/4ths of the way done. Darn!
♥ At least 30 of those books must be books I own at the beginning of this year.
Managed this one! Barely, but I did. I read exactly 30 of my own books.

And now for Cosplay…
♠ Finally finish my Sailor Saturn cosplay.
… Whoops. Still in-progress!
♠ Make a non-character cosplay.
Didn’t quite manage this one. I tried, but it didn’t end up working out.
♠ Buy a proper dress form.
Managed this one!
♠ Figure out some better storage and get rid of ancient cosplays.
Also did this one! It was a lot harder than I expected. I was attached to some of them quite a bit more than I thought I was.
And, finally, life…
♣ Grow my hair out.
It’s about shoulder-length when straightened, so I mostly managed this one? I cut it all off in March (I think) because it wasn’t growing out like I wanted and wanted to start over, but it’s grown significantly since then when you consider how short it was when I cut it.
♣ Take part in NaNoWriMo 2017.
I took part! Failed it, but that’s okay!
♣ Write more in general.
So, I wrote a lot of fanfiction this year. A lot.
How much did I write? Well, this is roughly, because I can’t locate a few of the files I never did anything with, but I wrote somewhere around 141,914 words, which coverts to about 490 pages, give or take. For my own work, I wrote around 19,705, or about 68 pages.
So that’s a total of 161,619 words, or 559 pages in a converter.
Yeah, most of it might have been fanfiction, but that doesn’t bother me. At least I’m writing.
♣ Do more charity work.
I didn’t do great on this one, but I did knit three blankets for charity.
♣ Walk more.
Pretty sure I accomplished this one.
♣ Mess around with makeup more.
Accomplished this one but … makeup is so EXPENSIVE AUGH.
Well, didn’t accomplish all of these, but considering I knocked my writing goal pretty much out of the stratosphere (I’ve never written that much in one year before), I’m pretty okay with how everything came out.

I need to see this Sailor Saturn cosplay when you’re finished! And was always my favorite Sailor! Awesome goals! Despite not getting to them all you accomplished a lot this year. Congrats!
