See anything new?
(Psst. It’s the header and icon. They’re new.)
That’s right! I commissioned my friend for some new stuff to change up my blog a little after three(?) years of it being the same colors. I’m not changing the name or the tagline or anything, but I wanted something a little different and she knew me well enough to throw something together, so here we are!
I really like them. I loved my old header a lot, but I’m not totally sure it was actually a free image to use, so I finally decided maybe I shouldn’t be using that. One of these days I’ll probably mix some more things up, but for now this is what we’re going to be working with!
As for NaNoWriMo…
Here we go again. I’ve never won, but I’ll be damned if I don’t at least give it a little go and see what I come up with.
I even prepped this time around more than I usually do by ways of tapping out a little sketch of an outline (I don’t do well with full outlines because I stray away from them too much) and some starter sentences that I know I want to build full scenes around.
Another thing I did that I know will help me out IMMENSELY is I downloaded the Google Drive/Docs apps so I can edit and write on the go. I currently do about 80% of my fanfiction writing from my notes app because I’m out and about so much for work, but there’s no word count option on notes, so I couldn’t go that route unless I wanted a hassle. The Drive/Docs apps fix this problem, because they have a word count! And I can pull it up on my computer when I have the time to.
Perfect, I think! How much that’ll actually get me to write remains to be seen, but y’know. It’s an attempt.
Anyway, that’s what I have in the cards for the next month. And thus ends this little update I threw together in excitement for the new icon/header.
