#24in48forever TBR

So, as you may or may not have heard, the lovely people over at #24in48 have decided to cancel January’s readathon (and will figure out what to do for future readathons) due to not only the size that the readathon has grown to, but because of obligations and, by extension, an inability to run the readathon in the way it used to be. Totally understandable! Honestly, I’m in awe they got it running so well with all the people taking part as they did the past times, so I understand why they’re stepping back to reevaluate the readathon as a whole.

That said — I, like quite a few others on Twitter, still want to go forward and try to do the readathon, even if there won’t be any hosts. That’s where the confusion in my title comes from. Not TOTALLY sure which tag we’ll be using (if you know, feel free to lob that info at me, because I’m confused!), but I think the majority settled on #24in48forever? That’s the one I’ll be using, at least!

If you’re interested in following me while I do that, you can find my Twitter on the sidebar of my blog, or you can click here!

So, goals:

We’re keeping it super simple this year, so just a couple and I’ll call it good.

  • Read at least TWO (2) books
    • I stole this one from my last attempt at this readathon because it’s one of the goals I usually manage to knock out of the park
  • Read 500 pages
    • Should be easy, since the books I’m choosing average at about 300 pages each, and I want to read at least two!

Now, the TBR!

I’m going to try for a mix of audiobooks and print books, like I tend to when it comes to readathons, so I have something to keep be busy whether I’m being antisocial in a public place or listening to something while I shiny hatch endlessly in Pokemon Shield. (Trying to get a shiny Ponyta for my friend — 1095 eggs and counting!)

Here’s what we’re looking at:

the weight of the stars

The Weight of the Stars by K. Ancrum

meet me here

Meet Me Here by Bryan Bliss

the light fantastic

The Light Fantastic by Sarah Combs

red queen

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

And there’s my TBR! I’m still super excited for this readathon, even if it’s not an official one, and it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

Thanks for reading!
