Confessions of a Literary Addict

While I’m someone who typically keeps a social distance from other human beings as it is (working from home on the norm can be both a boon and a bit of a pain in the ass, honestly), I think hosting a readathon during a time like this is brilliant, and I am 110% down to participate.

The people that brought you the original #24in48 readathon are back (THANK GOD THO I MISSED THEM) and they’re going to be hosting a social distancing readathon on on March 21st and 22nd!

As stated in their post, which you can find here, there will be no prizes, hourly challenges, or requirements, and I think it’s a fantastic idea for something that’s being thrown together so fast. It’s all straight reading happening.

And I say? Bring it!

The TBR

Since this is coming the day after Animal Crossing drops, I’m going to be too emotionally invested in playing the game to actually be able to read a physical book, but I already planned to have a straight up audiobook diet once the game came out, so I’ll just be listening while I play!

The Intertwined Series by Gena Showalter will be first on the list, because I already own the audiobooks for these and have been meaning to get into them.

And the last three books in the Wives of Henry VIII series by Carolly Erickson, because I can’t find a copy of the first book in either physical, digital, or audiobook form from any of my library/audiobook apps. I’ll see if I can get it elsewhere, but, for now, count these three!

Six books should keep me pretty busy, right? Here’s hoping!

These are all very tentative, though, so we’ll see what I end up actually getting to.
