Confessions of a Literary Addict

Okay, maybe I’m going a little stir-crazy… but I’m also reading a LOT more books than I ever expected to read. It’s only April, and I’ve already read 57 books. Who authorized that?!

Anyway. As I was perusing my way through the books I barreled through the moment the lock down was set in place, I found myself floundering just a little. I even forgot I have 20 books I plan to read in 2020 (though I did manage to read two of them). So, this month, I’m going to give myself a TBR to follow.

Now, that either means I’ll actually follow the TBR, or I’ll do what I always do: ignore every book on that TBR and read an entire slew of other books. Either way, it helps me figure out what to read!

Here’s the plan:

Eon and Eona by Allison Goodman. I have had these two books for years. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to read them, but here we are. Bring on the dragons!

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. Already working on this one, technically! So, at least, I won’t be worming out of that one.

Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier. Always need a little historical fiction thrown in so I can’t think of a reason to stray from the TBR. (Watch me do it anyway. I’m tricky like that.)

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. This one is definitely on the 20 in 2020 list, so I’ll most likely actually read this one this month.

The next three books in the Vampire Diaries saga by L.J. Smith. Finally reading this series. I finished the original four and I’m ready to start the sequel series (I don’t remember when a ghost writer took over, but I think these are still by her? Not sure…), plus I’m finally going to watch the show! Completely missed the bandwagon when it was first going around.

Altogether, that’s technically ten books. Should be a decent slew to pick from!
