Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon Wrap-Up! [April 2020]

Whoops! Didn’t mean to totally fall off the face of the earth for a minute there. Time completely got away from me, which is strange, because March felt like it lasted an eternity and yet April is flying by at the speed of sound.

Aaaand, as for the readathon… I completely, utterly failed!

Yup. Bombed it, hardcore.

Why? Woke up with a sinus headache and decided to forgo starting the readathon on time in favor of trying to sleep it off, and then didn’t sleep it off. Reading? Did not happen.

So, technically, I bailed out and failed. However! I made it up the next day, and, if you accept my redo, I didn’t do horribly!

(I did, however, nix Tweeting about it, since I was a day behind the actual event and didn’t want to Tweet about something that had already happened just because I was no-show Natalie.)

Here’s what I read:

jane eyre

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Total Pages Read: 209
Status: Incomplete

eon

Eon by Alison Goodman

Total Pages Read: 411
Status: Incomplete

Overall Stats:

Total pages read: 620
Total books read: 0

So, I didn’t finish a single book, but that would be because both books I decided to read were HUGE books. Especially Jane Eyre. Yikes.

The only goal I met was the “read at least 500 pages” one, because I didn’t finish a single book AND I totally forgot to keep track of just how many hours exactly I was reading. I have no doubt it was easily 10 hours, honestly, because all I did all day Sunday was listen to audiobooks and play Animal Crossing & Skyrim, soooo. P sure I got it, but I’m not positive, so I won’t count it.

And that’s my readathon wrap-up! Onto the next… if I can remember!

(Lockdown hittin’ real hard, y’all.)

Thanks for reading!

  1. I was doing so well for Dewey’s until personal health issues caused me pain and I ended up going to bed early (for readathon). I was plagued by pain all day Sunday and Monday as well. SUUUUCKS. I wanted a relaxing stress-free readathon! 😦 I did manage 15 hours before pain struck though. I was doing so well! Blargh.

      1. Thanks. Yeah, it just happens every few months or so and it’s crap for 2-3 days then like it never happened. Good times. lol.
