Y’all, I’m slowly catching up on my Goodreads goal again! And it’s all thanks to Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town dropping finally.
I’ve been blasting my way through that game while also blasting my way through audiobooks, and the combination is everything I needed in life. Now I just have to keep it up.
So, last weekend’s read!
Last weekend I read Binti by Nnedi Okorafor, along with the other two in the trilogy. Overall, I gave the entire series a solid three stars. Four for the culture and potential, two for the actual execution of the story. I’ll probably do an overarching review for the trilogy as a whole one of these days, actually, because I feel like they should have been one book and not three separate ones. The culture was super, super interesting, though, so if you’re into culture and don’t mind finicky storytelling, I suggest you give this a go!
Now, this weekend’s read:

This weekend I’ll be reading My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. I’ve been wanting to read this one since I saw it pop up on Goodreads, though I know nothing about it aside from the title. As that’s how I usually go about books, I’m not going to be changing my ways before diving into this one.
I have heard some mixed things from people I follow on YouTube, but that’s never stopped me before. I’m still excited to get into it, and I might even start it tonight instead of tomorrow!
Until next weekend, thanks for reading!

I’m hoping to get to My Sister, The Serial Killer sometime this year. I have also heard mixed reviews on it and I also know nothing about it! lol. Intriguing enough to pick up based on the title alone!
